Nidia on Voice of Wrestling

Trinity was supposed to be the first guest but something must have gone wrong. Chris mentions that you can always count on the ones most reliable and welcomes Nidia to the show. Nidia thanks Chris for having her on the show.
Chris asks Nidia where she has been and he had heard she has been doing some crazy traveling and he’s’ heard something about backpacking across Europe or Australia. Nidia says after November she had just stopped wrestling. She has kind of been burnt out when she was in the WWE and she needed time to relax. She mentions that every once and a while she gets offers to wrestle in really nice places with a free trip. Chris asks where has she been to Nidia says she started the year off in Puerto Rico and she had gotten to see her family. She mentions how she fell in love with Mexico and spent a couple of months there. Then most recently she has been in Italy and mentions she is supposed to be going back there. She says it was in a really small town and she fell in love with it and stayed there for 6 weeks afterwards. She jokes that it is like cheers and everyone knows your name.
Chris mentions to his co host for the night Molly Brown that he will allow her to step in with her questions if she wants. Molly talks about how she was on a TV show (tough enough) and then says how the next week everyone knew her name and she had fan sites popping up all over the place and she asks Nidia what it was like and what was the weirdest thing about that she was famous. Nidia says its Amazing, and talks about people calling her and telling her they are her biggest fan and she calls herself a nerd. She mentions it still has not hit home.
Chris asks if maybe Nidia will come to TNA and how her friend Gail Kim would love to see her come over with her. Nidia says she was blessed with an opportunity to have a little bit of cash and she is just being young and having fun. She has no plans right now. Molly steps back in and asks if Nidia has given up on her dream. Nidia responds by saying no she believes she has accomplished her dreams and its time to move onto other dreams. She says that she is just living life and enjoying it and spending time with her family. She says she is so blessed right now to be doing whatever it is she wants.
Molly asks if Nidia seen her cut coming, Nidia says she knew it was coming to and end because she didn’t feel it in her heart, She mentions her contract was up in June and she knew either they were going to let her go or she was just going to. She says June didn’t seem to come fast enough. Chris chimes in and asks, why was that and asks why she wasn’t content at that time. She says things just kind of burned out. And she don’t want to talk bad about it but it just came to an end. She says you can be in love with someone one day and the next it can fade she says that’s life.
Chris says it fair enough and asks her to describe as a whole the experience. Nidia says it was great and she got to meet a lot of great people. She says she got to see the world and perform in front of huge crowds. She learned a lot and wouldn’t change if for the world. Molly talks about how it’s hard to be a woman on TV and she says the thing she loved most about Nidia is she would make an ass of herself for the sake of comedy. Nidia laughs and says she lives for that. Molly talks about Nidia pulling off some of the funniest moments in the ring. Molly says women are afraid to make themselves look ugly and mentions how you can tell Nidia didn’t care she was out there performing and entertaining and it was fun to watch. Nidia says that’s what it’s all about and thinks that’s why her fire did burn out because no matter how hard you work it really doesn’t matter. Nidia mentions how at times for women it’s a little difficult. She says wrestling is going more on looks then on skills and how hard you work. Nidia begins to talk about how she is not a girly girl and hates getting her nails done, Getting her hair done.
Molly steps in and says "why did you get the implants?"..Nidia responds oh yeah yeah yeah the implants. Nidia mentions how she was blessed with big boobs, she had D’s when she was 16, She says when she was lifting they went away and she went from a size D to a size B and she then had extra skin. So she says she is too young to have saggy boobs so I’m like forget about it fill em in and that’s what happened.
Molly asks if she thinks she went to big and Nidia responds with an Um Yeah. She says when she was released she went back and got them back to a normal size. She says she can move better and it feels better. Molly says she is an attractive woman but her power wasn’t necessarily in her tits or her ass, she got over in her own way and that’s so respectable. She says too many women go up there and bank on their looks and that is all they have. Nidia agrees. Molly says Nidia got over on determination and then Chris says he thought Nidia looked good though at the same time. And Nidia says thanks.
Chris mentions he asked Nidia the breast implant question when they spoke on the phone earlier, and he didn’t even tell Molly to ask that question. Chris says the things she is saying to you if a guy says that he comes off as a jerk or something and not gentleman like but she comes out and it’s just two women talking and that’s not fair. Molly begins to go off on a tangent about being pissed that Chyna got implants. She then starts talking about how Trish Stratus is the total package and Nidia says she agrees. Molly says Trish is the right amount of beauty and skills and Nidia says she has to give Trish props because she has no idea how she can manage that. Molly then goes back to praising Nidia about having a Raw energy and says she hopes she gets back into wrestling. Nidia says another thank you.
Chris Says he wants to Squash a couple of Rumors and asks Nidia about if she did date Jamie Noble or Not. Nidia says Jamie is married. Chris says it is interesting and saying someone wanted to know. He mentions people talking and looking for a tape of her on Blind Date, he asks if she was and she says yes. Chris asks when and Nidia says it was a few years ago, she don’t remember exactly and asks how he will ask her a question like that. Chris says This was like four years ago Nidia says maybe four maybe three. Chris asks how it was. Nidia says it was fun, but the guy was really annoying. She says she was trying to tune him out and pretending she has ADD. Chris asks if she ever seen the episode and if they had bubbles popping in her head like they do on the show. Nidia says she never caught the episode because they never had told her when it was going to be on. She says people said to her "Oh I saw you on blind date" she mentions they must still play it because every now and then people will mention it to her.
Chris says so the guy was horrible, you never talked to him after that? Nidia says no and she had to pretend she was actually dating Jamie Noble and her character was supposed to be like a ho and the date was taking it a little to far. Nidia says she had to try and figure out how to get out of this so she went to the bathroom when they gave her five minutes to change and stuff. She says she called Jamie to ask him to call her and do something. He wasn’t there to pick up the phone so she left a message and asked him to call or do something. So then she called her boyfriend at the time Eric Angle, she calls Eric and he didn’t pick up either and she didn’t have any idea what to do so she left him a message. She says two minutes later Eric calls and tells her he is going to pretend to be Jamie. So she thinks cool, and she gets a call waiting message and on the other line it’s the real Jamie.
Chris asks if she is still engaged to Eric Angle, Nidia says that didn’t work out. She talks about how the business is rough and it kills a relationship at times. She started dating him while she was on the road and only had a few days at home and Wednesday she would come home and sleep the whole day, Thursday she would have to go get her hair and nails done and then Friday she was packing and there is really no quality time so it’s hard to get to know someone she says when they did get to know each other they realized they didn’t’ like each other that well.
Chris asks her about some of the situations she has been put in on Smackdown and in the WWE and some of the goofy scenes but she played the part well. He asked if there was ever a time where she was asked to do something she didn’t want to do. Nidia says she always voiced her opinion when there wasn’t something she was comfortable with. She mentions the blind thing and how she liked to be involved more and didn’t really enjoy that. She says that angle was boring for her.
Molly asks if she still watches WWE and Nidia says she didn’t even watch WWE when she was in it so no. She says she don’t watch wrestling at all anymore really, she says if she sees one of her friends she wants to see it but she doesn’t really watch.
Chris asks if she ever got approached for doing playboy. Nidia says no Chris asks if she would have done it to which Nidia responded probably yeah. Nidia is asked what’s the lure about doing playboy and Nidia says for her it would have to be the money. She says she has different views on the world and she likes having fun. She says she isn’t going for being a millionaire and she just wants to enjoy herself while she is young and not have to worry about all that stuff and a career till she is older.
Chris asks if there was something WWE could have done to make her time there more enjoyable or does she think she would be burnt out despite whatever she was doing on TV. She says at times she wishes Wresting was just in fact a sport she says she loves to work hard and loves to improve and she says it’s just frustrating whenever you do work hard and do improve and it just doesn’t matter. She says after a while it’s just like Why am I even working so hard. Chris says if it was real you could just beat the s*** out of the other girl. Nidia says if you got beat you could work harder. If it was a sport you can get that competitive ness and that fire inside you. Chris talks about TNA and if they would call her and the money would clearly be an issue to her and he adds what she thinks about the possibility of trying to work again and if she had to turn down any sort of Indy dates and talks about her working in Australia. Nidia says she is actually going to Australia Monday and she will be working three shows with Gail Kim.
Chris asks if she has wrestled at all since she was released. Nidia says she has like she said, sometimes a great offer comes along to go to some really really neat places she says she has not done shows in the US and feels the fans over seas appreciate the wrestling so much more. She says it’s like OVW which was the best time she has ever had in wrestling because there is so much passion involved. She says whenever you go overseas you feel the energy because they don’t get to see it all the time. She says that is what she loved about wrestling. She goes you get all the bullshit and politics aside and when you go out there and wrestle that energy that’s what makes it worthwhile. She finds that more overseas and then she gets her ticket and gets to stay there. She says ok just leave me there for like a month. After the shows you can just take off and do your own thing.
Chris says he knows the factors she throws out there like the travel and the money, and he asks her how big a fan of the business she was before she got into it she asks if she is still a wrestling fan or likes just parts of it. Nidia says she was a huge wrestling fan and talks about how she based her Schedule around it. Like Smackdown wasn’t on till 8 she couldn’t come into work and how she was a huge fan since the moment she saw it. She mentions her Sister was a much bigger fan than she was and how she started watching it because of her. So they went to watch a ppv in Puerto Rico. Chris stops her and they talk about rolling their "R" when they say Puerto Rico. Chris says he cant do it and wants to know if Nidia has to say it the way he can’t understand it. Nidia jokes with him about it and Chris says when he was a kid he was never able to say and R or and L he used to always say a W so maybe that’s why he can’t roll it now. Molly calls Chris an Ass. Nidia says he’s a "Wabbit" kind of guy. He causes Nidia to lose he train of thought about what she was saying.
Chris mentions Politics and asks Nidia how it was with all the Politics everyone hears about . Nidia says how can I put this, and Chris says oh it’s horrible isn’t it. Nidia says how about Hell. She says it’s just bad, she mentions how she had to watch what she said even around her friends and she knew it was time to get out. Molly asks if Stephanie McMahon is as bad as people say she is. Nidia says she does not know. She says Stephanie was always nice to her . Molly says you always hear the rumors that she is telling this girl to lose weight or putting down peoples ideas. Chris says I don’t know what chick back there needs to lose weight. Nidia says something about disappearing. Molly mentions how she heard about Stephanie telling Molly Holly she had to lose weight before she got back on TV and she says take rumors for what they are. Chris says he believes there is some validity to a lot of it.
Chris mentions It’s the same with Triple H and brings up Billy Gunn, Nidia says He is the Bomb and Chris Mentions how Billy likes Nidia a whole lot and how he wants Nidia there in TNA. He says he does not like Triple H at all but then there are guys who say the opposite and have had really good experiences with Triple H. He says he knows an individual person is different but he asks when Nidia could tell when she knew for a fact that it turned completely on her and knew it was downhill from there. Nidia says when she went to Raw because she was on SD for 2 or 2 and a half years and they were her family. Chris asks if there was negligence from other people there. Nidia says on Raw it’s more business She says for an Example it’s Tuesday and you are on Smackdown they say "hey what are you doing tonight" you say ah, I don’t know you want to go to a bar or? that’s what you are doing tonight. But when you go to Raw and someone says what are you doing tonight and I say I don’t know what’s open how late are the bars open here. They are like no what are you doing tonight on the show. So it’s more business over there and on Smackdown we just really enjoyed life a little more.
Molly asks if that reflects in the ratings. Nidia says the Smackdown ratings where always higher than the Raw ratings. Chris chimes in again and says It’s been said that Smackdown actually does have more people tuning in then Raw. They then talk about Smackdown being on Free TV as compared to Raw being on Pay TV. Nidia says the people on SmackDown! Were more down to earth and she worked better when she was more relaxed and for her wrestling was about fun. She says the fans feel more involved when they think you are having fun out there
Molly asks about Raw having a title and asks wouldn’t Nidia have been more driven because there is a title involved. Nidia says she lived for the Character parts over title goal. She says that’s what makes her happy and puts a smile on her face. Chris says to he so you just didn’t have fun on Raw. Nidia says no she just didn’t have as much fun there, it was more business and then it felt like work.
Chris says before we let you go, you know I would love to see you back on TV, and asks her if she sees that happening. He asks if she sees herself in TNA or if she would rather do her own thing. Nidia says if Johnny Ace were to call her up right now and offer her a job she would have to turn it down, because she does not want to go back to that life right now. She says right now she is just enjoying her life. Chris says he bets Nidia could tell them a ton of stories He goes on to say talk about how she said she wouldn’t come back and he notes it doesn’t seem like that’s her passion of her goal as much as it is someone else’s.
Nidia says, that’s why it wouldn’t even be fair because there is so many other people out there that have that fire and that passion. She says it wouldn’t be fair for her or them because she believes everyone has their purpose and if that’s not in her heart then she will find something to bring that fire back. Chris asks if she is going to be an actress and Nidia says she wouldn’t mind that at all. She says she wouldn’t mind doing some Comedy and Chris seems a little shocked. She says she is totally Hollywood. Chris says but if you are going to do comedy are you funny? Nidia says she is funny and Molly says the same. Chris asks Molly about it and Molly says didn’t you watch her it’s not like they gave her a script on how to do the white trash dance. Chris says Hollywood comedy and TV comedy is different then wrestling comedy. He says he don’t even think Wrestling comedy is all that funny most of the time. He asks if she has considered that. Nidia says she likes Improv comedy.
Chris and Nidia make an announcement and then Chris thanks her for joining the show tonight, and lets her go.
